He has Risen

My wonderful next door neighbor makes fantastic cookies at Christmas and yummy Easter bread at Easter. Yes, I'm talking about religious holidays - if you don't like that talk - too bad - get over it - and don't read this.
Every year we wait in anticipation for that fabulous Easter bread. Yesterday was the day of delivery. I sliced off a small piece for my self and hubby - slathered it with butter (not that fake margarine stuff) and savored the taste.
I placed the Easter bread wrapped in foil on the center section of our kitchen island. Hubby and I then went off to the Starz's Cafe for their tasty Friday night fish fry. Upon returning home I went to the fridge to place the remains of our fish fry dinner. I noticed a crumby mess on the kitchen floor. I knew that the kid had not been home to make this disgusting mess that leaves only one other culprit that occasionally gets into trouble.
I looked on the dining room floor and noticed the crumpled foil lying on the floor near his dog bed. There he was just sitting comfortably on his dog bed banging his huge fluffy tail against the tile floor with this really guilty stupid looking expression pasted on his face.
"Bad dog, bad dog," I screamed.
He even ate the eggs on the bread - shells and all. Nothing was left except for a few telltale crumbs on the kitchen floor. The long anticipated wait for the wonderful Easter bread was wiped out in a minute or so. What will I tell our neighbor? Perhaps she made extra.

St. Michaels Artists

I love art and nature. There is an abundance of art all around us. Beauty surrounds us, comforts us and inspires us. Then we have the artist who take their inspirations and talents and shower the world with their art forms.

I am the proud owner of a fantastic piece of art that hangs in my home. This lovely piece of work has traveled with me through three states and many years. In New York it hung elegantly above the fireplace. In North Carolina it claimed a prominent place on the living room wall. In Florida it adorns the wall in the family room. It is such a marvelous painting that I painted my walls to match the landscape in the painting.

This talented artist who now resides on the Eastern shore of Maryland has had her work displayed on the streets of St. Michaels. These fabulous artistic banners will be auctioned off in a few weeks. I am so pleased that I own one of her masterpieces.

The Eastern Shore

Easton, Maryland is a town near St. Michaels, Maryland where parts of the 'Wedding Crashers' was filmed. I have been to Easton and stayed in Easton several times. I do prefer St. Michaels. One can almost feel the conservatism in these small towns. But never did I know that in Easton what one does in Easton doesn't stay in Easton like Las Vegas.
The Eastern shore has its own kind of ambiance, rules and moral codes. Where does our VP choose to live? It certainly is a strange mixture in that there part of the country. Beauty abounds also. Then, beauty is in the eye of the beholder and the beholdiths in Easton don't want to see all that skin.
Apparently there is this little town ordinance about men and women going topless in town and public places. Now, if you are just visiting or passing through - 'How would you know'? I do believe that if women are prohibited from baring it all in public that law should apply to men also. It's not fair. Women's lib, women's rights - whatever!!! We need to be treated as equals!!!
So beware when traveling through or stopping for entertainment in this sleepy little town perched on the Eastern shore of Maryland. When you stop at any of the wonderful restaurants for their delicious crab cakes put that shirt back on.
